Well done Elijah! You are the star of the week for Trying so hard with your phonics and using your phonics to help you with your reading! What a superstar!

This morning we were looking at Chinese Poems.

We read a lovely poem about Chinese dragon’s first and thought about how it was written and what rhyming words are.

We then looked at a dragon picture and in our pairs we round robined (took turns) thinking of words to describe the dragon.

We then created our very own poem and here is is.

The scaly dragon was red,
He had a bumpy head.
His teeth were very sharp,
And he danced at night in the park.

Well done Reception.

Rayan has made a wonderful Chinese dragon using Playdough.

He was so proud that he wanted to tell everyone about it!

Hi all,

The children have been really interested in writing orders and making food so we have created Cafe Clough. We have all had a really good time pretending to be the customers, chefs and waiters in the cafe.

To go with our cafe we decided we wanted to sell ice creams and ice lollies so we made our own.

We think they look delicious!
